A few days before Christmas, Lewes RFC assisted with the Lewes Foodbank collection.

Those involved from the societies and clubs in Lewes included 10 Lewes Choirs, 6 Lewes sports clubs, 4 Lewes bands,  3 Lewes Faith Groups, 3 Lewes Political Parties, 2 Lewes Bonfire Societies, 1 Lewes book group, 1 Lewes Climate Hub,  1 Lewes Cycling campaign, 1 Lewes Depot Cinema,  1 Lewes FC supporters club,   1 Lewes Foundry Healthcare,  1 Malling Rec Park run , 1 Morris Road group, 1 Lewes Panto, 1 Lees photographer  1 Lewes Rotary Club,  1 Lewes Soulfit Gym  1 Lewes Town Crier, 1 Lewes Yogaistas group, 1 Ringmer guides group, tens of individual volunteers and of course 2 Lewes Santas( one with sleigh).

Over the day, the teams collected an extraordinary 12,067 items of food (up from the Christmas 2024 total of 8073 items).

Lewes RFC thanks the volunteers that have helped throughout the year, including those who helped with the December collection, including;

The Redshaw Family (Lewes Lionesses U12s and U16s), Katie and Heidi (Lewes Lionesses U14s), Gemma (Lewes U16s Juniors), Tabitha (Lewes Lionesses U16s).
